JoHannah T. Harrington, JD, MPH is an entrepreneur, consultant, and consummate connector of people. Currently working with an impact venture fund in Palo Alto, CA, she is responsible for the day-to-day management/operations as well as leading on the public sector consulting front. Previously, she worked in corporate compliance and governance for a leading international development and management consulting firm where she was handpicked to serve as a regional legal expert and compliance lead for matters across ~40 countries and ~20 states. She has had the chance to work from Mozambique to Philippines to Colombia and everywhere in between. She delivered advice on internal corporate governance, contract negotiations, corporate legal matters, due diligence considerations, and served as ad hoc of counsel for regional practices establishing herself as a clear leader on the world scene.
JoHannah has also delivered client-focused consulting across the prevention, public health (international and national), health/wellness, legal compliance, and health care policy spaces. Her most exciting work involved identifying, creating, and implementing a new initiative focused on healthy living, longevity, and reintroducing play for older adults. JoHannah worked in a variety of public health organizations, including the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition, in Washington, D.C. The underlying focus, for JoHannah’s career is, and has been, to move the needle forward towards the improvement of a higher quality of life as well as extending the average life span. By focusing on increasing the average quality of life across the lifespan and by working within various systems to encourage companies to find solutions that promote longevity, her long-term goal is to repeatedly move the needle in small and large increments forward to reduce disease, increase access to new technologies, and improve the quality of life over the average life span. JoHannah received her Juris Doctor and Bachelor’s degree in political science from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. She also holds a Master in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
